Privacy Policy
Sydney Property Clearance respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you contact us for a quote or book a job, why we collect it, who we share it with and how you can get it changed or deleted. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you fill in a quote form, call us on 0480 007 151 or email us, we collect:
- your name, phone number and email address
- the suburb and street address of the job
- what you need removed, how soon you need it and anything you tell us about access
- photos of the load, if you choose to send them
- notes we make about the quote, the booking and the work we carried out
We do not ask for and do not want your bank details, card numbers or identity documents. Payment is handled in person or by direct transfer once the work is done.
Information collected automatically
This site uses Google Analytics and Google advertising tags. These set cookies in your browser and tell us, in aggregate:
- pages you looked at on this site and how long you stayed
- the ad, search or link that brought you here
- your approximate location (city or suburb level), device and browser
This information is statistical. We do not use it to work out who you are. You can turn cookies off in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and the site will still work.
Why we collect it
To quote your job, book a truck, get to the right address, invoice you and answer questions afterwards. We also use it to improve the site and to measure which ads bring us genuine enquiries.
If you have asked us to, we may contact you later about a service you enquired about. Every message we send has a way to opt out, and you can also just tell us to stop.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
We share it only where we have to: with the crew doing your job, with the transfer stations and recyclers who need a load description, with our accountant, and with service providers who run our email, forms and analytics on our behalf. Some of those providers store data overseas. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How we hold it
Enquiries land in our email and job records, which sit behind passwords on accounts limited to the people who need them. We keep records for as long as we need them for the job, our tax obligations and any warranty or dispute, then destroy or de-identify them.
No transmission over the internet is completely secure. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee the security of anything you send us over the internet.
Getting access, corrections and complaints
Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@paulsrubbish.com.au or calling 0480 007 151. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for asking.
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first at info@paulsrubbish.com.au so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your complaint, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices change. The current version always sits on this page with the date it was last updated at the top.
